Programs
Our programs are designed
to meet the goal and objective of our mission: to help mature adults stay independent, physically fit and socially engaged. The emphasis
is on exercise that ameliorates the impact of aging, coupled with
social engagement. The value of this vision has become more apparent
as studies on the health and activity of senior citizens are conducted.
A recent study conducted by Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania
offers evidence that: “seniors participating in senior centers
differ from non participating seniors in the occurrence of impairments
to their independence.”
